Dr. David Chambers, Pastor
Welcome! I hope you are enjoying our website. As the Pastor of Central Christian Church, I invite you to come and worship with us. After all, we’ve been waiting for you. It’s true, because we believe that every person who comes into the circle of this special fellowship was sent by God. It’s not by accident that we have the joy of meeting you. So, above all else we want to express Christ’s love to you with genuine, heartfelt warmth. We’re eager to know you, and we’re excited to share with you the marvelous ways God is working in our church.
It won’t take you long to discover that this is truly a family, rich in the relationships that matter most. Growing together, we worship, we serve, we laugh, we cry, we learn, and we reach out to our world with life-transforming truth. We reach out to you, as well. Our doors are open. Our hearts are open, too. If you’ve been thinking, praying, searching and hoping for a place to belong, we say again…Welcome Home!

Proverbs 13:20
COMMENTARY:

When most people need advice, they go to their friends first because friends accept them and usually agree with them. But that is why they may not be able to help them with difficult problems. Our friends are so much like us that they may not have any answers we haven't already heard. Instead, we should seek out older and wiser people to advise us. Wise people have experienced a lot in life—and have succeeded. They are not afraid to tell the truth. Who are the wise, godly people who can warn you of the pitfalls ahead?

QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION:

1.What does walking with the wise mean? How do we walk with the wise?
2.How is it that we become wise by being with wise people?
3.What is your experience with becoming wiser by being around wise people?
4.Does walking with foolish people make us a fool?
5.What do foolish people do?
6.How does harm come to us when we spend our time with foolish people?
