Seeking and Serving with Love (Disciples of Christ)
“The Church is called to know Christ and to serve Christ”
Outreach takes many forms at Central Christian
Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) believes in reaching out in a variety of ways to people, adults and children, in our community and all around the world.
We welcome your heartfelt, energetic participation in current outreach ministries - and your input regarding new areas where the Church can make a positive contribution to our world.
Examples of current outreach
…Missionaries in Bolivia, Alaska, Spain, Kenya; to mention a few
…Operation Christmas Child:
Operation Christmas Child is one way you can make a difference in a young person’s life. Since 1993, this Samaritan’s Purse project has shared the Good News of God’s love with hurting children through the simplest of gifts-shoe boxes! Filled with school supplies, toys and personal items that are packed by caring people, these boxes help introduce children to Jesus Christ. Local believers follow up with evangelistic programs, and many precious boys and girls later receive Jesus as their Savior.
Jesus said, “let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

Advance directives are a means of exercising control of personal affairs in anticipation of a time when you may not be able to speak for yourself. When preparing legal documents you may want to seek legal counsel. Try to find someone who specializes in elder law.
Many needed forms, including living wills, are available online. Don't have a computer? Ask a relative or friend to get them for you.
At some point someone in your family may need hospice care. Information regarding services they provide is available by calling 542-0032.
